Sringaram was founded to preserve the spiritual relationship between the weaver, the loom, and the wearer. We build drapes meant to outlive generations.
Woven Into the Fabric of Time
In the temple town of Kanchipuram, weaving is not merely an occupation — it is a holy vocation. Sringaram originated as a small collective of five master weaver families devoted to creating ceremonial drapes for deity blessings and royal weddings.
Across three generations, we have held onto the slow, demanding methods of pure hand-shuttle weaving. While industrialization introduced high-speed mechanical looms, our weavers chose the integrity of the pit loom. In a world of fast fashion, a Sringaram saree remains a monument to slowness.
We believe that the beauty of a saree is built on transparency. Every thread of silk is traceably sourced, every zari wire represents real silver coated with 24k gold, and every design is hand-drawn before being mapped onto cardboard guides.

100% Pure Mulberry Silk
We use high-twist, triple-ply threads of long-staple mulberry silk. This density gives the saree its premium weight, signature drape, and natural luster that grows richer with age.
Real Certified Gold Zari
Every motif is woven with authentic zari. We wrap a pure silk core thread with silver wire, electroplating it with 24-karat gold. We never use polyester or copper-imitation zari threads.
The Weaver Collective
We sustain over 120 skilled weavers, offering fair living wages, medical care, and loom subsistence. By buying a saree, you directly finance the survival of this ancient South Indian artform.
Preserving Temple Heritage
At Sringaram, we are dedicated to recovering extinct patterns. Our weavers actively replicate motifs found in ancient murals: the *Muttukattam* (pearly checks), *Kodi Visiri* (creeper scrolls), and *Rudraksham* beads. We specialize in interlocked *Korvai* borders where the borders and the body are seamlessly hand-bound together so they never separate.
